ANA promotes awareness, access to quality care, respect and dignity in a safe, confidential environment. History:AIDS Network of Arizona was founded by Alan Kittle in October of 2005 in an effort to provide the older communities with a secure, relaxed and confidential safe haven through counseling, education and prevention training. The vision of ANA is treat their clients as more than a number, but as individuals. Executive Summary:AIDS Network of Arizona (ANA) acquired a 501 (c) (3) non-profit status through the State of Arizona as an organization that will educate and support the needs of older adults and faith-based communities in Maricopa County. The mission of ANA is to educate the over 45 population on the prevention of HIV in a culturally sensitive manner. We seek to create an environment that provides access to quality care with confidentiality, while promoting self-respect and dignity. AIDS Network of Arizona will conduct outreach services that consist of HIV prevention workshops, dietary training, vocational and volunteer networking and assistance, family advocacy resources and peer-to-peer support. |
